HPC Statement of Faith

We believe that God exists, that he desires to be in relationship with us, and that he sent his Son Jesus Christ to die as a perfect atoning sacrifice, once and for all, to pay for the misdeeds that separate us from communion and relationship with God. In Christ we can find a peace, a purpose, and a righteousness that comes not from ourselves, but from Him.

At Harrison Presbyterian Church, the Scriptures are accepted as the revealed and trustworthy Word of God, for "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness" (2 Tim 3:16). A summary of our beliefs can be found in the well-known Apostles' Creed and Nicene Creed. We follow in the footsteps of the traditional Reformed theological understanding of God and his Word as expressed in other Reformed/Presbyterian creeds.
